My philosophy
Relax and have fun
My Aim
As a celebrant, who has been registered from 2006, I have officiated at 100’s of ceremonies. North West Tasmania has become the location of choice for many destination weddings. Locals and visitors often take advantage of the stunning scenery and natural beauty of Tasmania, providing the perfect backdrop for their marriage ceremony.
My aim as a celebrant is to include everyone, to ensure family and friends are engaged in the story that accompanies the journey to marriage; and acknowledge those who have supported and guided you throughout your life.
Your wedding day marks the first steps on a new journey as husband and wife.
What I can offer you
My aim is to provide the best possible service and to ensure everyone is relaxed and has a bit of fun!
Family and traditions
At our initial meeting we will talk about the type of ceremony you are hoping to have. Family dynamics are often something we discuss at length, blended families, divorce, co-parenting and many other variables are sensitively discussed. A casual relaxed conversation is the easiest way of laying the foundations for your perfect ceremony, my role is after all, is to guide and support you throughout the process.
I believe that a wedding is a perfect occasion to recognise family, to acknowledge or even create traditions. I was fortunate to officiate at both of my daughters’ weddings. Look closely at the bridal bouquet, you will see the hat pin that my mum wore on her wedding day. Both girls incorporated the hat pin into their wedding bouquets. Both now have baby girls of their own, it is hoped that this tradition will be passed on when / if they decide to marry.
A parental blessing
A wedding is a very important day for not only the couple marrying, it is also a very big milestone for parents.
My ceremonies often include a parental acknowledgement or even a blessing.
You are a beautiful
bride. Today you will step slowly
down the aisle into the journey of your
new life. Hold out your hand and slip the
ring on your finger and seal the vow of marriage
Cherish these moments and appreciate the love
and happiness that surrounds you by all of
those who love you. The time has come
for you to transition from daughter
to wife. And it is our time to let
you go. This is your time.
It is your wedding.
We will always
love you.
